How are your products shipped?

No one likes to pay shipping but it is a necessary evil to get our fresh, out of this world products to your doorstep. We make every effort to find the most economical way to ship your order.

Once the order is placed, Kando Bakery evaluates the best time to ship your order so you get the freshest product possible. This may mean waiting a day or two to bake and ship so that we are not shipping over a weekend. We only ship Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for standard USPS Priority Mail. You will receive an email notification when your order ships with the tracking number.

We do not ship to P.O. (Post Office) Boxes, APO or FPO addresses.

Why do your products cost so much?

First, we believe that our products are competively priced when compared to other gourmet specialty food products. All of our products are handmade in small batches using only the finest natural and organic ingredients. We do not use cheap, genetically modified ingredients and preservatives that many store bought products contain. We want to make sure you are putting awesome food into your body so you can continue being your awesome self.

Secondly, all of our products are made by REAL people who care about the quality of our products, not mindless machines that can produce thousands of bars or cookies a minute. After ingredient costs, the rest of the money goes into our employment training program for adults with disabilites. When you purchase our products, you are helping people with disabilities lead happy, productive lives.

Are your products certified gluten free?

We cannot be certified at this time because we use shared equipment. At Kando Bakery, we practice safe food handling and sanitation procedures. However, only you know the severity of a loved one’s allergy. We respectfully ask that you refrain from ordering our product, if you have any hesitation or question about a potentially hazardous ingredient. We use shared equipment at a commercial kitchen that may have been in contact with peanuts/peanut butter, tree nuts, products that contain soy, dairy, wheat and eggs. We can’t in good conscience take liberties when advising on such an important issue. Thanks for ordering responsibly!

How should I store my products?

Our bakery bars are shelf stable for approximately 3 months and our cookies for approximately 2 weeks but we recommend consuming them sooner for optimal texture and flavor. Who wants to eat old food? If purchasing larger quantities of bakery bars or cookies, we recommend refrigerating or freezing for extended periods of keeping.

Marshmallows are good to go in their bag for up to 3 weeks (depending on your weather and humidity) at room temperature. Of course, we suggest you eat them sooner than later. Marshmallows can be frozen for extended periods of keeping. Once opened, transfer them to an air-tight container (like a Mason jar) and keep in a cool, dry place. If your marshmallows start getting a little moist/sticky in their bag, just take them out to air dry for a couple of hours. You can then dust them with a coating of powdered sugar if desired.

Do you have a money-back guarantee?

We do not accept returns or issue refunds. Once your order leaves our bakery, it is in our carrier’s hands. Refunds will not be given for shipping delays due to weather conditions, package refusal or incomplete/ incorrect addresses. However, we want all customers to be 100% satisfied with their purchase. If for some reason you are unsatisfied, please contact the bakery within 24 hours of your purchase and we will do our best to address your concern.
